March 14th Statement on the Vernon Chamber Citizen of the Year Event

After careful monitoring of the Coronavirus Disease outbreak (COVID-19) and taking a proactive approach to follow the recommendation of local, state and federal authorities on travel restrictions and meetings of large groups, Vernon Chamber of Commerce has made the conscious decision to reschedule the March 24th Corporate Citizen of the Year Awards Dinner.

While the reported number of novel Coronavirus cases across the Southland is currently relatively small (as of March 12) - Los Angeles County: 32 confirmed cases, and Orange County: 6 cases (4 confirmed, 2 presumptive), there is no greater importance than to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our invited guests, families and friends.

In agreement with our Honorees, the rescheduled Corporate Citizen of the Year Event will take place:

Vernon Chamber will continue to monitor the outbreak and be engaged in preventative measures and outbreak preparedness for Vernon employers and their employees over the next 30-90 days.
